Camp Tennessee-Part 1

In lieu of sending the kids to camp this summer, I decided to do camp with them myself. Mom suggested taking everybody to the cabin, and "Camp Tennessee" was born, complete with t-shirts ala Sandra.

Part of our training entailed learning the Davy Crockett song. Esther excelled at that.
Lyrics:
Born on a mountaintop in Tennessee,
Greenest state in the land of the free
Born in the woods so he knew every tree,
Killed him a b'ar when he was only three.
Davy, Davy Crockett, King of the wild frontier.

Back from the hills of Tennessee

We spent Memorial Day in Big Orange country where we staged "Camp Tennessee" for the kids, complete with orange t-shirts. Photos and video coming soon.

Robert's last day of school and music class

Unbelievably, Robert has already sailed through one year at Hirsch Academy. He has excelled academically and socially. We are soooo very proud.
Robert and Cat, his creative head teacher. Robert with members of his class- Grace, Legend and Dino. With OT, Gudny.
Robert with assistant teacher Tracy and her daughter, Amelia.
With another class teacher, Susan.
Hirsch has been a perfect fit for Robert this year. I am extremely thankful to the teachers and staff there who are consumed with a mission: to help these kids develop skills to learn and deal with the world around them. Kudos!!
We attended an afternoon Music Class today so that Robert could join us. Rob showed up too!
Esther, Ava and River roll the ball.
CC never stopped moving.
Playing instruments.

Esther's last day of school

Where did the year go?
With Sarah McGill, before school.
With Miss Kristen and Bosco.

Love this!! With Miss Heather outside of the classroom. After school there was a huge ice cream social. CC had strawberry. After collecting Robert and a workout at the YMCA, we headed over to Gloria's for a pizza dinner.
Scott feeds CC.
My brother in law is the proud father of a batch of beer. Here, we sample some.
Who needs a high chair?
Gloria made a fabulous muffalatta with olive tapenade to follow the pizza. The kids planted flowers and fed their beautiful fish. Thanks Gloria and Scott for a magical evening!!

Soccer season is over. Let's party!

The Moore family hosted this year's soccer party on the 6th floor of the Aqua building in midtown. Thank you Judy, Matteo and Aziza!! Robert and Esther have been counting the days until this celebration!

The team lounges in the bright sun on a glorious Atlanta spring evening.

Upon arrival, the Burlington kids scope out the balcony. I kept trying to breathe deeply and not think about how high in the air we were while surpervising 3 kids. Breathe in, breathe out.

Coaches Cat, Burlington and Keegan.Ever the self-portrait taker.
Detail on a vase in the club room. Lovely.
