Exploring Atlanta

What's the addage? One never visits amazing things in their own city, until one goes with someone who is visiting.

Mystery Photo: Where did I FINALLY go on Tuesday? With this crowd: Robert, Glo (holding CC), Uncle Ken, Aunt Mary (sister to my dad), Sandra and Larry. Here's a great clue!Answer: The Georgia Aquarium. CC takes a rest.

Uncle Ken and Aunt Mary- I loved spending time with you. Thanks for spending time with the whole family. We love you.

I forgot the stroller so CC got a lot of cuddle time with Gloria. :)

And me.

Splendor Koi and Pond and daddy love

We rounded out Animal Camp by visiting Splendor Koi and Pond in Marietta.
Gloria and Scott are now the proud owners of a fish pond at their new house. They discovered this amazing fish store while researching how to care for their pond.

Carlos let us feed (and pet) the koi.

We got 1 goldfish and 2 koi for Scott's birthday. I think he is 21 now!
Happy Birthday Scott!!

That night Rob was away during bedtime for choir rehearsal.
Robert got very upset and came out of his room several times because he was so sad missing his dad. The third time I went to check on him in his room he had arranged this shrine around him in his bed. It consisted of everything in his room that he could find that reminded him of Rob.
Among the shrine items: photo of Rob and baby Robert, The Daddy book-open to the page about daddies who don't have any hair, Rob's bronze baby bootie and sports-themed needlepoint stitched by Little Mama when rob was 9 years old. He finally fell asleep.

Animal Camp

In the spirit of Camp Tennessee (mom does camp instead of paying someone else), we have embarked on Animal Camp. This is a little easier. You will find us at Zoo Atlanta every morning this week. The first day was last Friday. It's my camp so I can do whatever I want!!

Can you see what the kids are looking at through the fence from the petting zoo? Scroll down for the answer. . .

He was hanging out in the shade.
My climber.
CC looks on as Robert climbs.
All day the sun dodged behind these rainclouds keeping it fairly cool. :)

One last cheer for Tennessee
