Camp Tennessee - Part 3

We learned about the culinary traditions of Tennesse while we were at Camp Tennessee. Goo goo clusters and Moonpies are both native Tennessee products!! TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) supplies power to many states in the southeast. Some of it is generated by a series of dams in East Tennessee. Built in the 1940s, the dams and their surrounding park areas have provided recreation to many generations of Tennesseeans, including my parents.
Here we visit Douglas dam. A view of the mighty Smokies.

The dam itself.
A friend we made at the dam.
